SPONSORING THE CZECH SKILLS COMPETITION

The Czech Skills – Painter 2009 competition for trainees was held in November within the scope of the exhibition House and Flat 2009 at the exhibition place in Ostrava - Cerna Louka.

The fourth competition of trainees in the field of painter, lacquerer, house painter was classified under Czech Skills, thanks to the high technical level of difficulty of the competition and because it was held in accordance with international criteria. Candidates are also selected from these competitions for the international competition EuroSkills.

Last year, the competition was again bigger than the previous one – competitors participated from 12 vocational schools. Thus a total of 24 trainees and 12 masters competed over the course of 4 days. Apart from the competition area, there was a consultancy centre of the Guild of Painters and Lacquerers of the Czech Republic, where members of the Guild provided visitors with various painting techniques and practical information.

This area also included a consultancy centre of partners and sponsors of the competition. One of the main sponsors was also COLORLAK, which had a presentation table with promotional material, leaflets and colour swatches. Our technician answered the questions visitors posed and recommended coating systems.
